Know Thy Vestments

Welcome to Grace Church’s “Know Thy Vestments” video series! These short, informational videos are presented by Dr. Charles Carroll, a parishioner, and member of the Altar Guild at Grace. A trained historian and assistant professor at Brown University, Dr. Carroll explores the history, usage, and symbolism behind liturgical vestments (clothing) and textiles, using familiar pieces used during services at Grace Church.

Grace Episcopal Church is located at 300 Westminster Street in downtown Providence, on the corner of Westminster and Mathewson Streets. Hours

The church office is open Monday – Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm.
As part of our Open Doors Ministry, the front doors of Grace Church are open to visitors each weekday from 11:00am – 2:00pm.
