Holy Baptism

Grace Church offers the sacrament of Holy Baptism — full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church — at appropriate times throughout the year, these include:

  • The Feast of All Saints
    (Sunday closest to November 1)
  • The Baptism of Our Lord
(usually the second Sunday in January)
  • The Great Vigil of Easter
(the Saturday evening before Easter Day)
  • The Feast of Pentecost: Whitsunday
(usually the first Sunday in June)

For adults, baptism is a public statement of their intentional decision to follow Jesus. For infants, it is a declaration of intent by the infant’s parents and Godparents to raise the child in the way of Christ and the traditions of the church.
